school
I have taken my son off of potatoes and I have noticed a difference in his behavior. School started last week and he had a meltdown at the end of the day. but did good up until then. He is on a new med to help him focus and that is why he is having a harder time adjusting. If I did not already have the gfcf diet in place I would never have put him on the med. My daughter is the favorite in the class again this year, she is also on a new med to help her anger and it is working. she is mature for her age and the teachers always appreciate that. she is in kindergarten this year but worked through a first grade workbook over the summer.

Starting down a new path
I know that for at least two months now that my son has been regressing. i did not want to do it but after a HUGE meltdown on sunday night, i knew I had to. I have added the SCD diet to his plan. It is even more complicated that gfcf but doable. it is better for me to answer question posted in comments than to explain what itis and how it is different. Mydaughter is going on feingold alon with gfcf, so they will be on the opposite sides of the fod they eat. Iam exzpecting there to be some friction at first until they adjust. They are both giving up their favorite foods in place of some they can eat. He has been on this since monday and so far he has been fairly decent, his mood has changed, he has not had any major meltdowns I have been able to get him out of them easier. He has not gone into this one cold turkey, but he is off potatoes and grains. he is learning to like vegetables, fruits, and meat.
